CRT televisions are classed as hazardous. This is because they contain hazardous substances such as lead and mercury. As such they are regarded as Hazardous Waste. When these items are collected a Hazardous Waste Consignment Note must be issued. This will detail who is collecting the items, where from, how many and where the items will be taken to.
